TRAMA : Il nostro pianeta è stato invaso da una razza aliena di Anime, che hanno preso definitivamente possesso dei corpi dei terrestri. Il mondo è diventato pacifico, pulito, sono scomparse le malattie e i crimini, ma anche la quasi totalità degli esseri umani. I sopravvissuti vivono in clandestinità nel deserto. La giovane Melanie sta per raggiungerli, quando viene catturata da una "cercatrice". Nel suo corpo prende posto un'anima chiamata Wanderer. L'amore di Melanie per il fidanzato Jared e per il fratellino Ian, però, è talmente forte che la sua voce non si lascia mettere a tacere e resiste nella mente di Wanderer, spingendola ad unirsi ai ribelli.
